How long does it take to grow?

Prickly Pear Cactus seeds take 14-21 days to sprout. Bonsai seeds take 2-4 days days to sprout. Aloe seeds take 14-28 days to sprout.

How much sun will it need?

Prickly Pear Cacti, Bonsai, and Aloe thrive in temps between 72°-90°F and with at least 6 hours of direct sunlight (an unobstructed south or west-facing window is best). Starting in Mar-Sept will provide longer days and thus optimal light. If starting during cooler months, it’s recommended that you supplement natural light with a grow light (fluorescent or LED).

Can I put it outside?

This Grow Kit is designed for indoor use; however, you can transplant the plant into a pot or the ground for a larger and more robust plant. Transplant outside into a location with full sun after the threat of frost has passed, and sprouts are at least 2” tall. Harden off plant for 5-7 days by placing it outdoors in partial sun during the day, and bringing it indoors at night.

How is it reusable?

This hydroponic planter includes a stainless steel net pot that can be replanted with soil or used for transplants. Use a water soluble fertilizer and follow its instructions.

Temperature: 70+ Degrees Fahrenheit

Light: Maximum, full sun coverage

Moisture: Low moisture. Remember to check the reservoir before sprouts form, as it may need replenishment before the small seeds sprout.

Germination Time: 2-3 weeks

Planting Depth: Just below the surface

Be patient with these small seeds. The first popof green may not be seen until 20+ days after planting.
