How do I clean the vessel to use as a planter?

After the candle burns down, score the remaining wax with a knife and freeze the vessel for a few hours. The wax should remove from the vessel easily. To remove any residual wax, pour boiling water into the vessel, let the max melt and rise, then cool and discard the wax.

How do I plant the seeds?

Fill vessel with potting soil, sprinkle seeds on top and press them just below the surface. Lightly mist until the soil is damp. Place planter in a warm, sunny spot. Check the soil daily; if it’s not slightly damp, water it. Fertilize once a month.

Lavender

Temperature: 73+ degrees Farenheit

Light: Maximum amount of sun available

Moisture: Prefers very dry grow medium conditions

Germination Time: 3 weeks to 1 month

Planting Depth: Barely cover with soil

Won’t sprout? Try lowering your water levels and frequency. Avoid top-down watering.

To encourage more full yields,prune regularly.

Mint

Temperature: 74+ Degrees

Light: High light exposure, south facing windows highly recommended

Moisture: Dry

Germination Time: 8- 12 days

Planting Depth: Do not bury under soil

Try greenhousing. Keep in a sunny spot and cover the surface with plastic wrap. Let condensation form, and check in 3-5 days for results.

Marigold

Temperature: 70+ Degrees Fahrenheit

Light: Full sun

Moisture: Mid-level moisture

Germination Time: 10 days

Planting Depth: Sprinkle over the top for hydroponic kits; bury 1/8th inch below the surface for traditional growing.

Won't sprout? Marigolds should be watered by misting ONLY when starting from seed. After sprouts are established, traditionally planted kits can be carefully watered top-down.

To encourage more full yields, be sure to use plant nutrients at least once every ten days after the seeds have prouted and have “split” their first leaves.
