We special ordered numerous personalized garden gifts this year for the holidays. We then ordered a lot of fun , beautifully packaged items from your website to go with them. We can’t wait for everyone to open their gifts! Everyone in our family is a huge gardener and I know they are going to love them! Even ordered some for ourselves. More to come in the Spring. :)
Disappointed that no instructions were included. I do not expect recipients of my gifts to have to search the web for how to use.
The directions for our seed ball kits can be found on the back of their packaging instead of our usual inserted and folded instructions. We apologize for any confusion this change may have caused!
I bought this seed ball kit for my mother, she loves wildflowers but there were only 5 seeds in each little packet, so when she made 20 balls, there was only enough for 1 seed per ball. There was 20 individual seeds distributed through 5 packets. This was 20 seeds for $16 when you can buy a packet of seeds for $1. I want to be reimbursed!
Thanks so much for leaving us a review on your seedball kit experience.
I'm hoping to walk you through our design and better explain the instructions in your mother's kit.
At the start:
We package our seeds by their weight. Each non-GMO seed packet can range from 2 seeds of one variety up to 15 per pack for our smaller seeds. I believe your seed numbers are about average. With strong germination rates, these non-GMO seeds are of excellent quality and are generally more hearty in my experience in comparison with other seed suppliers. Here too, we're offering a crafting experience great for all ages, rather than just a plastic-coated envelope of seeds without such a chance to work together.
Most notably, these numbers are meant not to overpower each variety nor work against other in the pack by fighting for water or soil nutrients, which is why the seed count is kept around this number. The goal is to have one healthy plant per ball!
In our instructions, we note this seed count can make up to 15 seed balls per pack in our most recent kit updates. She may have been working with the older kit though some seeds in this particular kit can be smaller than the head of a pin and incredibly fine.
Here too, germination for most wildflowers demands lots of sun and water, and if the seed balls were planted against instructions, that may account for the lack of growth. Directions are more broadly as follows: plant in full sun, with 1/3rd of the ball exposed to sun and not buried in their entirety, water to keep the clay seedballs moist never letting them dry out completely once planted.
I can certainly send another kit for her to try again to either plant at the end of this growing season or hold onto for the next. Though I cannot refund grow kits that have been used or purchased from another retailer, I hope you may grant us a do-over.

My warmest to you,
