We understand you want to keep certain critters out of your edibles! One of the benefits of our Wild Habitat seed blend is that it is adaptable to many locations and light access. So consider planting your seed balls in a border garden, along a walk way, near a tree, next to a mailbox, near a pile of rocks or logs (where critters like to shelter) or devote a patch of your yard to growing this beautiful and beneficial blend to give insects and small animals a way station to stop for pollen or shelter wherever their journeys take them.

Why is the Wild Habitat Seed Blend better than a traditional lawn?

Most lawn grasses deplete soil nutrients and consume large amounts of water. This seed blend is lower maintenance, consumes less water, replenishes soil nutrients and prevents soil erosion. To plant in your yard, simply till up a patch of grass to allow the seeds a chance to root and watch a more biodiverse plot take its place. If there is an area of your yard or garden that is impacted by erosion, this blend is great for that too. The sheep fescue grass and wildflower seeds have fast-growing, dense root structures that will improve your soil health and prevent erosion. When these roots become established and spread and stabilize the surrounding soil. Without plants like wildflowers that stabilize the soil, nutrients can get washed away into nearby water systems.

EASY TO GROW

Seeds will adapt to a variety of soil types, climates and temps. Seeds do not require intensive watering if planted in the Fall, resulting in bloomsthe following spring.

Mixing annual and perennial wildflowers guarantees the benefits of both. Annuals flower fast with longer blooms. Perennials self-seed and grow back stronger year after year.

PROTECT & POLLINATE

Wildflowers provide safe spaces for butterflies to lay eggs. Their nectar and pollen attract essential birds, bees and butterflies for pollination cycles.

NON INVASIVE

This blend does not contain any invasive seed species. After seeds are planted, they will not dominate or degrade native vegetation in your region.
